Project: Planning and Monitoring Officer (PMO) for the Implementation of the EMP (Environmental Management Plan) for the Rovuma Basin 2D Seismic Project.

Location: Palma & Pundanhar, Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique.

Sub-contracted to: Impacto Environmental Consultancy c/o: John Hatton & Herberto Nhampanze.

Tasks & implementation: The tasks included: Ensuring implementation and compliance of the EMP; Managing a team of 3 supervisors and 35 field staff (CLO’s & ESO’s) and their daily activities; planning of activities and staff rotations; compiling weekly and monthly reports; Liaison with all contractors operating in the project area; Support to and liaison with the De-mining & Seismic Managers; Monitor Environmental & social impacts in the project area; Assess any ecological / environmental queries from de-mining, seismic & rehabilitation activities ; and collect ecological data for the area.
